The Kerry School of Music and Performing Arts was founded in 1981 to make music happen in Kerry. The school has grown to become one of Ireland’s largest music schools and is the country’s longest standing fully integrated performing arts school with departments of music, dance, drama and music theatre.

With centres in Tralee, Killarney, Castleisland, Listowel, Dingle, Killorglin and Abbeyfeale, the school offers individual and group tuition in many instruments as well as choir, stage school, ballet, tap, jazz, orchestra and music theory classes. Students are given the opportunity to perform, compete and complete graded examinations on a regular basis throughout the year.

Our superb team of teachers bring international best practice to bear in their classes, something which is uniquely evident in our students’ performances in examinations, competitions and on stage. Our alumni are to be found in opera houses, orchestras, theatres and media throughout the world. The Kerry School of Music offices can be found on High Street in Tralee and are open from 9.00-17.00 Mon-Fri to answer any of your questions.
