Our camps are the perfect introduction to the instruments of the orchestra as well as song, dance, art and musical theatre.
We will be welcoming the Artane band to St John's Castle Street on the 22nd of April for a collaborative concert with the KSM Orchestra, Flute Choir and Chamber Choir.
Our Assessments will be taking place May 5th and 6th. Under the adjudication of Margaret O'Carroll. This will be followed by the presentation of prizes and the school's annual ensemble day on May 13th.
This week at KSM we have Colette's Born to Dance in Siamsa Tire on the 2nd of April at 1pm and 5pm. Featuring dancers from a number of centres as well as Aileen Murphy's hiphop dancers and Clodagh Harrington and Gráinne O'Carroll's musical theatre groups. We will be celebrating 30 years of Colette as our ballet and modern teacher.
Delighted and honoured to be welcoming Neil Baker, Professor of Singing at London’s Trinity-Laban, back to Tralee to work with advanced students in Kerry School of Music’s Voice Department. Niall had a long professional association with distinguished Kerry School of Music alumna, the late great Miriam Murphy and prepared her for many of her major roles, most notably Lady Macbeth in Verdi’s
Macbeth. This is Neil’s visit since Miriam’s untimely passing in July 2021.
We then have our Easter Camps in Listowel and Tralee taking place from the 11th-15th of April.
