The Kerry School of Music has been providing professional musical services for church, civil and humanist for the past 40 years. With every combination imaginable we will be on hand to create a bespoke music package to make your day a one to remember.

Music, Dance, Music Theatre and Drama Tuition

Tralee, Killarney, Listowel, Killorglin and Dingle

A large team of dedicated and expert teachers provide tuition in a wide range of music instruments and voice, Ballet and Modern Dance, Tap and Theatre Dance, Speech and Drama and Musical Theatre at centres in the above towns. 

Students normally enroll annually for courses starting in September. However, single lessons or short-term 'taster lessons' can also be arranged at any time. Flexible payment arrangements can also be made in advance with the school office or, indeed, with the teacher.

Students may simply learn for pleasure or may opt to opt examinations up to and including internationally recognised Diplomas.

Students are also prepared for Junior and Leaving Cert Music examinations, third level entry auditions, competitions, workshops and master classes, public performance and interviews etc.

Students are encouraged to participate in performing ensembles provided by the School. These include orchestras, choirs, bands, dance ensembles, a musical/light opera society, youth musical Society (LOST YOUTH) and flute choir.

Fleischmann Studio Concert Series

The Fleischmann Studio on the ground floor of the Kerry School of Music is home to the Kerry County Council Steinway D piano, one of the finest in the country. The ​Fleischmann Studio Concert Series presents intimate recitals by outstanding local and internationally renowned performers. 

Music in the community

The School organises a wide range of music, dance and music theatre performances at venues throughout the county every year. Many of these are organised in collaboration with other schools or community, voluntary or charitable organisations and are often free to the public.

Workshops, Master Classes, Easter Camps, Summer Schools, Ensemble Days

Short, affordable introductory courses to the instruments of the orchestra are organised every Easter and Summer for children ages 4-14. Orchestral, choral and ensemble workshops take place throughout the year and master classes with eminent practitioners and teachers take place annually at Christmas and Summer.
